Selene wants answers, and the mysterious new boy in town has them. Phoebus has a duty, and the strange Othersider girl stands in his way.
But will they be able to navigate their dark pasts and unrelenting connection before sinister creatures infiltrate Threshold and destroy far more than Selene’s small coastal town?

Why Fantasy?
I’m often asked why I choose
to write fantasy books.
First of all, I will say
that I have nothing against other genres. I love reading all kinds of books and
stories, from classic literature to modern. But when it comes to writing, I’ve
always leaned towards fantasy.
Perhaps it goes back to when
I was eight years old and stumbled upon a copy of The Silver Chair by
C.S. Lewis in my elementary school library. Stepping into that world with all
those creatures and characters certainly influenced me from a young age.
The more fantasy I read, the
more I came to appreciate it. Not only did these stories provide me with the
escapism I loved, but with these stories, the sky was truly the limit. There
were so many worlds to explore and creatures and characters to meet. But within
the story, there was always something about the human experience to be found: a
commentary, a lesson, an observation. And the characters didn’t even have to be
human to teach me something about being human.
So when it came time for me
to write, there was no question what kinds of stories I wanted to tell. Whether
it’s high fantasy, urban fantasy, or magical fantasy, there is just so much to
tell. Writing fantasy allows me to be a kid again and to experience new worlds
through those eager eyes.
