She wants him. He wants her. They want to watch.

Alien hunter Aster is frustrated in more ways than one. Her team hasn’t had a proper encounter in months, and her cute teammate Wade is never going to see her that way – and no other man would let a woman like Aster take charge in a relationship anyway.

Until one night, out in the woods, when the team is engulfed in a white light – and overwhelmed with desire like they’ve never known. Suddenly Aster sees a new side to Wade, one that will let her give her alpha tendencies free rein…

But as the creatures they met return again and again, Aster begins to wonder what they really want – to see her and Wade together, or something more sinister?

EXCERPT

Cold settled on her, light breezes stirring her hair. This was the worst part of a vigil. She much preferred collecting data, testing samples and finding alternative explanations. Or not, of course. On a good night, there wasn't one. But just sitting and waiting for events to repeat themselves...

Wait. A light had appeared in the sky.

Hagar's hand landed on Aster's wrist. Aster lifted her hand slightly to acknowledge the touch. A plane, maybe? A shooting star? No, it's too bright. This is closer to us.

The undergrowth rustled. Annah was kneeling, holding up her camera to film the light as it moved. As they watched it split into two lights, then three, moving closer.

Aster's heart stood still. Have we actually got a real encounter here? Her scalp prickled, as though her hair was standing on end. Automatically she slid a hand up to rub the spot, keeping her eyes on the lights. It wasn't imaginary, her hair was standing on end.

Hagar was staring at her, mouth gaping as Aster stared back, running her fingers along the rainbow-streaked locks that were straining away from her head.

What the hell?
There was a sudden blaze of light from behind them and Annah yelped. Oh God!

A broad beam of golden light fell through the trees, forming a circle on the ground. In the centre Annah was half standing, half arching backwards, camera still pointing straight up in the air, her mouth stretched in a rictus of shock.

"Annah!" Zack shouted from somewhere to the right, but Annah didn't react. Her eyes were fixed on something above, something outside the golden glow. Then she let out a guttural moan and dropped to her knees, her free hand clasped to the zip of her jeans.

Aster rolled onto her back and scrambling into a sitting position. But before she could get up, a wave of sensation rolled over her, knocking her flat on the ground.

Oh...
