Dolphin Way, Rise of the Guardians by Mark Caney. Although from a dolphin's POV, this book was nothing like I expected, and I loved it!

For amazing paranormal historical romance I'd recommend Shana Abe's Drakon series. There are three books in that one. She's just recently come out with a YA book featuring new Drakon characters and that looks to be a trilogy as well. They're amazing books!
I'd recommend Firelight by Kristen Callihan. I love the series. It's a sweet and sexy romance series.
