Review Ember by Madison Daniel Romanian Blog Tour

They say your dreams are a mirror image of your soul. If that were true, than I was in big trouble. I was falling in love with two women and I could not stop it, no matter how hard I fought it.
Mi-a plăcut.

I was a zombie walking around, struggling against the urge to find Sam and give in. Even if I did cave and let those feelings grow, there was still one major complication to deal with. Unbelievably, that complication was waiting for me in the school parking lot. She looked amazing and I rubbed my eyes to be sure I wasn’t just imagining her.

Is it possible to be in love with two people at once?” I asked desperately. “I don’t know Max,” he said. I was overcome with doubt again and rubbed my brow in frustration. “But I know you should do what’s best for you.” He smiled at me and I felt a little better. “I just wish I knew what that was.”

I felt like a candle flame, flickering alone in the middle of a hurricane. Afraid to bend, afraid to move either way for fear of being blown out. I felt safe…yet trapped.

They say your dreams are a mirror image of your soul. If that were true, than I was in big trouble. I was falling in love with two women and I could not stop it, no matter how hard I fought it.
I liked it. I want to say this from the beginning because for a long time I have not find a book to be both liked and not so much among my closest readers-friends.

The book’s main problem seems to be the love triangle. It’s quickly formed and this time the prize is him. At a critical time of his life, Max meets two girls who deserve all of his attention. They are the most beautiful, desirable in their own way so he cannot be blamed for he likes them both. Like at first and then...

For us, the girls, the advantage is that the story is written from Max’s point of view. Undisguisedly and without swaggers, he (or to say Madison?) is honest and he shows us only what he really feels. He never boasts of his conquests, but realize that he must choose. How, when and especially whom, is hard to tell.
Both girls, Sam and Asia, come with their own baggage. This baggage will confuse things further. I will not go into details because it is a book that should be read, because between the lines, or sometimes more directly, you will find some signs that will tell you that it will always be in the same measure about your decision and consequently about your culpability.

The difference and attraction between of what he needs and what he loves or thinks he loves enflame the love triangle and the links between the three of them. And what if the person who makes you feel yourself complete is not always the best for you?
Is it possible to be in love with two people at once?” I asked desperately. “I don’t know Max,” he said. I was overcome with doubt again and rubbed my brow in frustration. “But I know you should do what’s best for you.” He smiled at me and I felt a little better. “I just wish I knew what that was.”
Regarding the supernatural elements, I think it should be more detailed. I considered more explanations necessary, because of their importance in the story line and because of how they influence the lovers’ interactions.

I’m getting back a bit to the point of view in which the book is written because I want to emphasize that I liked it very much (although, from what I've seen, some reviewers have not figured it out and criticized randomly) why and how the narrator is changed... temporarily.

I cannot wait to read volume 2 and I ask all the other tour participants not to give spoilers, especially as the plot thickens and new people appear on the horizon.

"nucleu", sa-i zic asa?
OK, mi-ai trezit interesul! ;;)
