I am grateful for anything that Rudyard Kipling did. If it weren't for him and his book 'Rikki-Tikki-Tavi,' I would probably not love reading the way I do. He gave me an adventure every night before I went to bed, when I was little, that made me want more adventures as I grew.

The Almond Tree by Michelle Cohen Corasanti. I usually read YA, especially romance and fantasy so it was WAY off topic for me, but now it's among my favourite books :)

I am grateful for all the books I have read, even the ones I DNF. I appreciate all the hard work that goes into creating something for us readers to fee our addiction with. I think I am grateful to Bram Stokers Dracula and Mary Shelley's Frankenstein for setting the standard for things that go bump in the night and paranormal, and the storytellers that came before them.

I’d have to say the Nancy Drew books that I found in my closet when I was in 6th grade. They were hardback copies from the 1940’s. I had found them in my closet and asked my mom about them. She told me they were hers from when she was about my age. That started my love of reading :)

I'm thankful for any book that I have read because they have all helped me to grow. I'm most thankful to have read the Bible. After that, I would choose The Dollmaker by Harriet Arnow.
