GUEST POST
Using The Twelve Universal Laws To Survive and Thrive

Did you know that the Law of Attraction is just one of the universal laws? While life doesn't come with a handbook, fortunately it does come with a nifty set of twelve universal laws. We each have missions on our own unique paths. Along the way we will meet situations, people and environments to survive. While a survivor continues to identify with what they survived, a thriver transcends that mindset, moving above and beyond the lesson-teaching situations, people and environments. Here's a quick lesson on how to use the universal laws to become a thriver.

Recognize we are all one.
The Law of Oneness states that everything and everyone in this world is connected to everything else. Anything we believe, think, do or say affects the world and the universe around us. You are as important as anyone else and they are as important as you. Remember this when you want to judge yourself or others. You are one thread of an energy source that is connected to everything: respect the oneness of all things. This Law is helpful in forgiving.

Everything in the Universe vibrates.
The Law of Energy or Vibration states that all things are made of energy. Vibration is in the physical world, as well as in our thoughts, feelings, desires and dreams. Trust yourself to 'sense' the energies or 'pick up the vibes' around objects, places, and other people. Consciously align yourself with the energy of what feels good and move away or let go of what feels bad. Use the power of your thoughts and emotions as analytical tools.

Act and you shall receive.
The Law of Action states that you must act in order to bring results. Choose your actions carefully with an eye on your desired outcome. Engage only in actions that support the thoughts, dreams, emotions and words you want in your life. You can't sit and expect things to fall into your lap without effort. You must act with a purpose.

As inside, so it is outside.
The Law of Correspondence states that the outer world reflects your inner world. If you want to change external circumstances in your life, examine your inner world. This Law says you are in charge of your own life and how you want it to be. By accepting responsibility for your life you move from being a victim to a conscious creator. Maintain the integrity of your inner world with fierce strength. Do not hold onto negative emotions such as anger or resentment or you will see them reflected in your outer world.

What you do comes back to you.
The Law of Cause and Effect states that every action has an appropriate reaction. There are no secrets in this world. Expect that all of your actions – good and bad – will be reflected back to you. Take responsibility for what happens in your life by examining your own thoughts and actions and see how you contribute to what is around you.

You get back what you give to others.
The Law of Compensation states that compensation is the direct result of our deeds. Share abundance according to your current ability. Be generous and give to others on every level and abundance and prosperity will return to you.

Like attracts like.
No doubt you are familiar with the Law of Attraction, which states you must align yourself with what you want. This Law is not about simply wishing or hoping or visualizing. It instructs you to align yourself in every way with your desired outcome. The thoughts, actions and energy you send to the world attracts like energies. This Law is a great check for monitoring yourself as a whole.

Go with the flow.
The Law of Perpetual Transmutation of Energy states that energy is in constant motion and all energy eventually manifests. You have the power to change any condition in your life. Producing a higher vibration consumes and transforms lower ones. This is powerful stuff! If you don't like the path you're on, change it. This sometimes simply means letting go. Trying to force or resist change can lead to unnecessary struggle.

It is what it is.
The Law of Relativity states that nothing is one way until it has been experienced and compared to something else. In life you will receive a series of situations to strengthen yourself. No matter how bad we perceive our situation, there is always a situation we can imagine that is worse - relatively. Learn to use your life's challenges to lift yourself to a better position.

All things have an opposite.
The Law of Polarity states that one thing cannot exist without its opposite. Day and night, masculine and feminine, joy and sorrow are several examples of how one would not exist without the contrast of the other. Use polarity to create your focus. To change an undesirable thought or situation, simply concentrate on the opposite thought. Thoughts and ideas that are not working for your highest good can be removed by consciously directing your attention to their opposite.

This too shall pass.
The Law of Rhythm states that all energy vibrates and moves according to its own rhythm. These rhythms become cycles and patterns. Think of the moments that make up a day, the seasons that make up a year. Learn to recognize and rise above any parts of a cycle, seeing the temporality.

All things have both masculine and feminine energies.
The Law of Gender identifies the feminine and masculine of life, making them the basis for all creation. As a spiritual being you must balance the masculine and feminine energies within our inner world in order to recognize the yin and yang of the outer world. Just like the Law of Rhythm, the Law of Gender teaches us to have patience and persistence.

It's not sad - I promise. It's a manual on how to forgive those who have hurt you. It's very empowering!
