Even though I've never read it, Carrie is a spooky Halloween story. I'm not a fan of scary books or movies...they freak me out and I don't sleep for months. LOL

Apocalypse Z series by Manel Loureiro

I suggest The Red Tree, by Caitlin Kiernan. It is creepy, not gory, and a slow build -- but there are lines and images that still make me shiver.

Thank you for the giveaway! This book is not necessarly geared towards Halloween but I know it's going to be fantastic and I'll be reading it over Halloween :) Karen Marie Moning's new book High Voltage comes out Oct. 17th and I cannot wait. Her fever series was fantastic.

I'm currently reading The Night Circus and I think it would be an amazing read for Halloween. It is atmospheric, whimsical and mysterious with an undercurrent of darkness that leaves the reader a bit uneasy. I'm really enjoying it.
