Description:
He didn’t commit suicide but who’s going to believe her...
Frustrated at being fired from her latest job and overwhelmed by her consolatory family, Sam decides to move to the family’s cabin at the lake. A place she hasn’t been since her dad committed suicide there, twenty years before. Or did he? Snooping is something she’s good at but someone seems to be taking offense to her looking too closely at what has been happening at the lake. What she discovers is shocking. Now she must uncover what’s real and what’s not. All that she learned growing up, may be false.
Keegan, who has recently moved to the area to finish his latest book, is also trying to find out if his grandfather, who’d passed away ten years before, died of natural causes or was murdered? The descendants of the four families, who own the land around the lagoon, are dying off.
Since Sam and Keegan are the only ones questioning the deaths, they find themselves working together to seek the truth. Are people being murdered? Who would benefit from their deaths? Why would there be barricades and armed guards at the north end of the lake? To stay alive, Sam and Keegan must find the answers and convince others, before more people are killed... including them.

GUEST POST
My Top Ten Favorite Books
by Maggie Thom
Okay well let me start this off by saying that naming only ten is going to be difficult. I have read a lot and there are many that I have absolutely loved. I'll try to narrow down my list, though.
1. The Thomas Covenant White Gold Wielder by Stephen R. Donaldson - okay I cheated a bit because it's a series of I think 6 books. Excellent series. I read it many years ago but still remember it.
2. The Switch by Sandra Brown - it has such an interesting twist in it and it's a good story.
3. The Bourne Identity by Robert Ludlum (I actually enjoyed the whole series).
4. The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings by JRR Tolkien - enough said, right?
5. The Diary of Anne Frank. I read it when I was 15, wow.
6. The Gift of the Phoenix by Donna Cook - a book I read recently and absolutely loved.
7. Women Who Think Too Much by Jeanne Marie - It wasn't what I was expecting but it is a very profound book
8. The Biology of Beliefs by Bruce Lipton - a very compelling read about our beliefs and how they truly affect us
9. Peaceful Genocide by J.A. Reynolds - this story had a different premise that I found very intriguing. Fascinating read.
10. A Life Less Ordinary by Victoria Bernadine - I loved this story about a woman chucking it all and going on the road to basically find herself.
Now that was a tough job to only list ten. J I'd love to hear what are some of your top books?

I love when a main character investigates a death from the past. It's always suspenseful and I love that when I am reading.
Romantic suspense always makes me stay up too late reading. I just want to KNOW!! So hence the not putting them down.
Romantic suspense :)
I love anything book that has suspense! Romance makes it that much better! Thanks for the giveaway!
I just love a good who-dunnit mystery!
The mystery of course :)
Oh I just can't resist a good mystery about founding families dying off!
Mysteries are great!
The barricades and armed guards at the north end of the lake are intriguing, hinting to a larger conspiracy.
Thank you for hosting Tainted Waters. I really appreciate it. My apologies for not making it sooner but I have been dealing with a family emergency.
@maggiethorn - no problem at all, I hope that everything is OK
This sounds like a very interesting mystery book I am dying to read! Thanks for sharing!
Will this be available in Paperback on Amazon anytime soon? A friend is borrowing my Kindle for a while and I really want to read this! The reviews sound amazing!
Thanks for the giveaway! "Tainted Waters" looks great! I would have such a hard time narrowing it down to my top ten favorite books; I'd also have to use the series shortcut! I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who was profoundly affected by reading "The Diary Of Anne Frank" in school...it's actually one of the few required-reading books that I liked then and still like now! I hope that level of heart/tenderness has influenced the way you write romance.
romantic suspense is my favorite. can our heroic damsel trust her newfound hunk, or is he secretly the bad guy in disguise? (in this case keegan is probably too young to be the cause of sam's father's death, but i've read stranger twists before!)
Sounds like the perfect suspense story to read as summer's ending! Thanks for the giveaway!
The storyline sounds great would love to read!
The fact that it's a murder mystery type book. I wanna know what happened to his grandfather too!
