Character Choice: Werewolf vs. Vampire

Hello Everyone,
Nice to be here at Mythical Books to celebrate my recent release, Under A Mating Moon, a paranormal romance featuring Wolf shifters!

I enjoy writing both werewolves and vampires. I like the distinct and unique aspects of both as much as I like their commonalities—for me, they’re all passionate, loyal, powerful, and, of course, dangerous.

Before I jumped into the world of the Black Hills Wolves, I had never written a novel starring our fierce, furry friends. Vampires and the Fae were my go-to paranormal creatures. Then, a writer pal invited me to the multi-author world of the Black Hills. So, I suppose you could say the wolves chose me. Glad they did. :-)

Characters tend to come to me before the plot, and I get to know them via detailed questionnaires. From there, their individual story unfolds. For my wolves, Ross and Darci of Diamond Moon arrived first. Turns out, Ross has two siblings: a younger sister, Lexi, and an older brother, Evan. Energetic, free-spirited Lexi clamored for my attention next and thus, Under A Mating Moon was born. I hope you enjoy the excerpt below, of Lexi in action. She stomped all over poor Jake’s heart, and now she has to make amends…
