AUTHOR'S INTERVIEW

What is your writing process?
Once I get that spark of idea, I start with chapter one. Then I go in order. I have a general idea of what each chapter will be about. I have a beginning, middle and the end in mind.

Who or what influences your writing?
My readers influence my writing. Their emails and facebook messages give me the fuel I need to strive.

What do you consider your best accomplishment?
This one is difficult to answer because I believe all authors grow and polish their skill as they continue to write. Every book is different and sometimes we switch genres too.

How have personal experiences influenced your writing?
Crossroads saga (YA) is based on dreams I had in high school. From Gods (YA)-I got the idea of chapter one when I got pulled over by a hot cop my freshman year in college. Something Great (NA)—the main character is based on me.

What’s the best thing about being an author?
You get to write the stories you want to read. Also, you get to meet friends from all parts of the world.

What is your favorite genre to read?
Write? My first love was contemporary romance. Then I fell in love with YA. Then I started reading NA novels. I switch back and forth for both reading and writing.

What is the hardest thing about writing?
Starting a new chapter. Once I start, it’s smooth sailing.

What is your favorite quote?
“Life isn’t worth living, unless you have someone worth dying for.” –Michael from Crossroads by Mary Ting

What would you like to say to your readers?
I want to thank them for their continuous support. I’ve been blessed to meet many friends around the world. Their continuous love and support means the world to me. I write because I know my readers are waiting for the next book.
