Guest Post and Giveaway: Fae (Fae Trilogy) by C.J. Abedi

Description:

Caroline Ellis' sixteenth birthday sets into motion a series of events that have been fated for centuries. A descendant of Virginia Dare, the first child born in the lost colony of Roanoke, and unaware of her birthright as the heir to the throne of the Light Fae, it isn’t until Caroline begins a tumultuous relationship with Devilyn Reilly that the truth of her heritage is revealed.

Devilyn is the only Fae who is both of the Light and of the Dark, and struggles to maintain that precarious balance to avoid succumbing to the power of the Dark within him. He is the only one who can save Caroline from those who would destroy her and destroy all hope for unity among the Fae. He promises Caroline that he will protect her at all costs, even when it means protecting her from himself.

Told from the alternating perspectives of Caroline and Devilyn, FAE draws on mysteries, myths and legends to create a world, and a romance, dangerously poised between Light and Dark.

TOP TEN FAVORITE THINGS ABOUT THE BOOK

Colet
1. Devilyn
2. Getting to see the different magikal worlds
3. Famous (of course)
4. The relationship that Caroline and Teddy have is real and is not about being in love with one another. It's about friendship and I like that.
5. Love all the magik that the Tuatha de Danann have

Jasmine

1. I absolutely adore Devilyn and Caroline’s connection.
2. Caroline is such a class act. I love her sense of loyalty, gratitude, work ethic, and innocence. Everything about her, inside and out is so beautiful.

3. I also love the magical and mystical world that surrounds Roanoke. There’s a lot going on in those trees and a lot of questions that have even still remained unanswered with The Lost Colony.
4. I love everything about Odin. He reminds me so much of so many members of my family all in one. He’s got elements of my parents, my grandparents and especially my grandmother, who is an amazing, enlightened and magical woman.
5. Even though I don’t believe in anything he stands for, Alderon is still a very interesting character to me. He really exemplifies pure evil and is even missing emotions that his dark counterparts are seemingly born with. It is astonishing to me that he doesn’t have any sort of emotion outside of anger and hatred when it comes to his children. The bond, and love that a parent has for a child is unbreakable, and yet it means absolutely nothing to him. I definitely don’t understand or respect it, but he’s an important character and the book wouldn’t be the same without him. So maybe not a “favorite,” but very thought-provoking.
