Chérie's got her hands full. Forces of evil want to destroy her. A powerful invisible guardian and his flaming haired associate are messing with her mind. Meanwhile, her gorgeous boyfriend wants to have sex with her all the time. Will she claim her destiny as a passionate, sexually potent cosmic force before darkness consumes her?
Chérie Abella Manhattan is in for a surprise. She thought she was just an ordinary aerobics instructor and adventure-loving woman living with her handsome, hard-bodied blond lover, Cam Tyson. Turns out she's one of the most powerful beings in the universe - she's a Galaxy Dancer, capable of using her potent sexual energy to transform not only herself, but the people she loves.
When she meets a mysterious, dark-haired man, her life begins a series of strange, unfathomable transformations. She starts to see people who weren't there a minute ago. She starts to glow when she makes love. She'd always dreamed of being a big deal; she just hadn't thought she'd be an "out of this world" big deal.
All she has to do is face a few fears, sort through a few lies, get over a broken heart or two and accept who she is. That's the easy part. The hard part will be dealing with the sexy, sexy man known as Kayden, who can't, or just won't, leave her to her alone.
GUEST POST
On Planes and Anaïs Nin.
“I must be a mermaid, Rango. I have no fear of depths and a great fear of shallow living”. Anaïs Nin
Ever wondered how to open up a juicy conversation on a plane? Try writing erotica on a plane. Saucy, sexy scenes are often inspired by writing on planes and you never know who’s going to look over your shoulder. What can I say?
In the middle of crafting a particularly hot scene, I kept glancing at Derek. He kept staring out the window. The scene’s getting hotter by the minute. Derek continues to gaze at clouds. My fingers fly. The scene’s starting to smoke. Flames lick at the edges. It’s beginning to combust. That’s when Derek turns and stares at my screen, just for a minute. He reads. I glare at him, schooling him into submission. He turns away.
A few minutes later, I say to him, “I never know who’s going to look over my shoulder. I write erotic paranormal.”
“Oh,” he says. “That’s cool. I’ve read Anaïs Nin.” He says this like he’s a well-read man. He says this like he’s done something really important with his life. He says this like we’re both in on an exciting conspiracy. He offers this as an invitation.
I laugh, nodding. “She’s the godmother of erotic,” I say. I’m in. Line cast. And he’s hooked. From that point on, we chat.
I learn he used to be a model.
“Hated it,” he tells me. “So shallow. It’s a cutthroat business.”
I learn he’s been married for a million years and has two fine kids.
“They’re at that age,” he says.
I nod. “Kids can be a trip. A lifetime trip.”
He nods, smiling. “I’ve got a teenager.”
“Boy or girl?”
“Girl,” he says, shaking his head.
I roll my eyes in commiseration.
“Right,” he says.
He learns I’ve been around the block and back and then some. He nods and I wonder if he’s wondering what that’s like, him who’s been married for a million years. His eyes grow wistful.
I shrug. “It’s food for my writing.”
My Sweetie Pie rolls his eyes at me. He’s heard all my stories. Isn’t interested. Shakes his head.
I learn all kinds of things about this man and him about me. We skip past the small talk, like pebbles skipped across a stream, making their way to depth. Launched right into important stuff. Deep stuff. Juicy topics. Anaïs Nin looking over our shoulders, smiling.
All too soon our five hour flight comes to a close. Sweetie Pie leaps up and retrieves our suitcases from the overhead. I slip into the space he’s made for me. We’ve got a system, Sweetie Pie and me. I don’t look at the handsome guy. Our time is done.
When people start to clear the aisles, shuffling forward, I turn and give him one last look. “See ya later, Derek Zane,” I say.
He smiles, tilts his head and says, “See ya later.”
We both know we’ll never see each other again. Still, it was a juicy moment, watched over by Anaïs Nin. Give it a try sometime. See what happens.
