And my favorite sub-genre is historical romance.
Paranormal romance is my favorite. Best is probably that it's a little more realistic in terms of what the characters do and how they communicate/relate to each other. Older romances were a bit sanitized and more idealistic.

I love all types of romance novels, no fave. I have not seen this feature yet but I am sure I will love it!

Love triangles and instalove, both in YA and adult romance... suck a lot!
Comedy romance, ike the movies, usually make me happy and make for a light reading :3
I love new adult and contemporary. There is variety for everyone, so I don't think there's anything bad about current day romances.
I love romantic suspense because this is how I get both a love story and suspense plus an exciting read.
I will say erotica. There is just something about it that makes me want more
I love that it is more raw but I think the worst part is that so many are the same.
MM romance and BDSM are my favorite sub-genres, because two or more guys together are hot and BDSM reveals so much about a person and relationships.
I love MC romance as it's about bad boys. I married a good man but I can dream of a bad boy! :)
Most romance books are too predictable and the romance is either forced or too perfect.
The worst was if the story too predictable.
I love paranorman Genre and Steampunk genre :)
The sub genre of roamnce I like is historical romance.
One thing about romance is the guy is always unbelievable when compared to real life.

I dont have 1 favorite but 3 I love Paranormal, Science Fiction and Dystopian Romances!
The only bad thing I find about romance these days is how unrealistic some of the main guys are.

Love paranormal. Hate that romances today seem to be same plot just different story line and characters.
My favorite sub genre is paranormal because of the sexy shifters, but i hate that romance today has become predictable. 2 of them meet, they fight, but have a sexy or sweet reconciliation, then they live HEA. But hey, i'm still an avid reader ;)
I like contemporary romance, i love how relatable it is. I think today's romances are so focused on their sub-genre, that they follow the same story that in the end it becomes predictable.
I like paranormal because of all the sexy characters. I agree with previous commentors, todays romances are too predictable.
My sub genre favorite is Dark Romance because they are so different from the ordinary. What i don't like of todays is that new content and stories are hard to come by.
My favorite sub genre of romance is historical.
What I don't like about today's romance is the constant use of the douchebag-extremely-possessive-stalker-jealous-hero. I mean, I like alphas in romance just like any other woman, but too often I encounter heroes whose attitudes go beyond the extreme, and it ruins my mood.
