I think there is no greater gift for anyone at any age or of any gender greater than a book, but I'm sure no one would disagree with that. ;)
Well, our greatest gift right now is we are going on a 3 day and night trip away without kiddos.
However, I always think crafty is good for a woman.. as it comes from the heart.. as for a man, give him a beer, and some music.. lol jk! Maybe a guys away trip, or something he always has wanted.
I can think of some great book for both men and women. I also like the idea of a cruise.
For a woman, i think a book,a kindle reader or a Gift Card would be good. For a man, a VIP ticket of a game of his favorite team.
Other than a book, I think a great gift for either sex is home made fudge.

For both a woman and a man I think there is no better gift than a good book they would both love that you took the time to find the right one for them. Besides a book a woman would love hundreds of books on her very own Kindle reader and homemade speciality cookies or candies. For a man a box for his favorite hockey or football game in the playoffs
A great Christmas gift is perfume. For both male and female. Most years, that's what I gift my loved ones and they're always happy with the fragrance. This year I bought my mom Dior Addict by Christian Dior.
The question is so stereotypical but I'd say a book for both genders.

Man: sports lover would be a subscription to watch all the games for favorite team or clothes with sports team, movie lover or theater lover would receive theater passes, and book lover would get e-reader or gift card for books. When in doubt, gift cards to eateries are always good.

Well I tend to befriend people who are fellow cat lovers so that is the direction I would take. Maybe a cat picture frame or pencil holder (I got one last year and LOVE it) and for a guy, a cat ornament. :)
I don't know if they are great but I have woven floor rugs for all my family for Christmas, male and female :)
I think doing something for the person is the best present regardless of gender. Babysit their kids, bake them cookies, mow their lawn!

I honestly can't answer that... I am a very personal gift giver. I give presents that are meaningful to the man or woman. Like with my best friend, who is a girl, she is a Jane Austen fiend, and this year I am going in that direction. With my husband, who is a Harley man through and through, I have gone in that direction previous times. So, honestly, it just depends. I am not sure what I would get for a man or woman in general
A pair of concert tickets, 1 for the woman and 1 for the man.
For family members and friends I'd give something that I know they might like, but maybe couldn't afford or wouldn't normally spend money on. For acquaintances and other people than you don't know well, I'd stick with something suitable for everyone. I think a pretty lacy shawl would be a good gift for any woman, and for a man maybe a body products gift set, unless he has some hobies like reading, cars etc.

A gift card for their favorite shops! It would be good if you know which shop is their favorite so they'd be genuinely happy.
1) A homemade lemon hand scrub.
2) Any type of food, preferably junk food. It always works for me. :D
Sometimes, we give baked goodies as gifts. You can give the female some perfume, and I have no idea for the male. Haha
Gifts really depend on the person. If all else fails you could always give either a man or a woman a nice, warm, fuzzy, and beautiful winter blanket. Guys also really like it when you buy them socks, as it's not something they usually get for themselves. My boyfriend is a music producer so I got him a pair of professional studio headphones and some nice clothes for performances. For the females in my family a handmade jewelry and tried to customize it to everyone's taste.
Books are always the best gift..for me.
But if the person you're giving a gift to is not a bookworm, give him/her something that he/she doesn't have but looks like she needs.
For women or men who happen to be book lovers you can always gift a book of a gift card.
And if they are not... maybe jewelry for the ladies and that is where my ideas end.

For some women, jewelry or a tasteful perfume (if you know what fragrances the woman likes) make a nice gift; and for a man, perhaps a nice shirt or maybe some aftershave (again, you'd have to know the man's tastes).

For women jewelry always seems to work. Men are harder, but for my grandpa I just got wallet notes (They are little notepads shaped like credit cards that fit in a wallet with a mini pen)!

wow that is a hard question I guess it depends on your budget, I think most men like a new football jersey for there team, my husband likes manning. for a women, I like headphones, kindles, or any electronics, of course i got none... lol but I think that is always good, if it is a lower budget, then a scarf set works for either. or a bath set. thank you so much
