Great idea for a giveaway! It's so hard to pinpoint what needs to be done to make a book well known ..a famous publisher maybe ..word of mouth (hype) ..which is how Colleen Hoover's books got popular.

I think the first thing a book need to deserve public attention is to be well written. It sounds obvious, but unfortunately it's not the rule.
i think a book needs a great storyline and cover ti grab attention. that's what gravitates me towards a book

I think that a book deserve public attention when it has a new way to tell a good story to the reader, and it's well written.
The book needs a good plot and characters. a book that is well written and not rushed so it seems like someone threw something together just o get a book on the market and declare themselves an author.

To be honest, I don't like the word 'deserve', since it sounds like something more important than yourself has the right to say if you're good and useful enough or not. I get your point though, and I would say it's when a book keeps readers from putting it down :)

Any book that hooks you and pulls you in. It's different for many people. Some, it could be a plot that touches on a personal level or others some romantic read or nail biting story line. Books in general need more attention. I love that I got my husband reading again and even my sister and I loved seeing the few book commercials that have been on t.v.
Any book that you can't stop thinking about once you've finished!
A compelling character is important. Not a likable one so much, but and engaging one.

It's a tricky one, because not all books can appeal to all the readers. Everyone has their own preferences. Above all, the book must be enjoyable!

I think a book that needs more attention needs to have characters that explode off the page, and are so real!
I think a book that needs more attention has to have characters with great chemistry, and a great story line.

First of all, I think it needs great cover. And of course, interesting storyline.
There are so many amazing books but they remain unknown because not many people talk about them. They need more reviews or spotlights, they need to be seen.
Originality is definitely needed to make a book stand out. Another thing is when a book can make me have a visceral reaction - like crying. That's when I know it's well written.
There are so many different things that "decide" if a book deserve the public attention. First of all, it has to be well-written with an exiting plot. But in my opinion, the characters have to be intresting and true to themselves, too. If the readers get touched by the book, I think the book deserves the attention!

I think DB Reynolds Vampires in America series needs more attention. It is fantastic!
