From Goodreads: " This story is dark and gritty and intriguing. The main character has thought she was just a normal human living along side demons her whole life. [...] The plot flowed well, and had me wanting to know what was going to happen. Overall it's an enjoyable story and I look forward to seeing what the future holds for Serafina and her friends."
Serafina Murano is no stranger to the paranormal. All of her life she’s lived harmoniously alongside demons. Damon Serpe is a conflicted demon on a mission. Unexpectedly, they collide into each other’s lives and are inexorably drawn to one another.

Embrace Your Inner Demon
We all have inner demons, right? I know I do. In fact, a few of mine flew to the top of my mind as I sat here click-clacking away on the keyboard. Being human is tough, all of the emotional baggage and lessons learned. I’d much rather live as one of my paranormal fictional characters. They may have issues, but using supernatural powers can be quite advantageous.
When I wrote Choosing Evil, I gave it the tagline, "Embrace your inner demon” in hopes it would link the story's theme with its prominent paranormal elements. I had it branded on everything from wine glasses to baseball hats. For fun, all the while never considering the buzz it would cause in my small beach town.
On several occasions, my husband has been stopped in public and asked why he's advertising Satanic propaganda. At first, I was mortified about this development. Clearly, it was not the message I was going for when I created Choosing Evil's slogan! I was a half a beat away from tossing my swag in the trash forever. That is until he explained how when he told people it was the tagline for my book, they all wanted to read it!
Viola! I did my job. "Embrace Your Inner Demon" was sure to get people talking. So I left my questionable slogan perfectly intact, and promptly ordered more swag!
The reality of my paranormal story is that each of my characters battles their inner demons, just like us humans. Although, they're also dealing with actual demons in the flesh. While demons walking beside us on the Earth is a far cry from our reality, evil is evident in our world from people who commit heinous acts to the doubts we have as individuals about our worth. Our job is to overcome that evil and find a place where we can live in peace.
So, the question Choosing Evil raises, not only for its characters but its readers alike, is, "What does evil mean to you?" My hope for you when you read Choosing Evil is to question evil, as well as to embrace your inner demons. Because in the end, we should love ourselves, flaws and all. No one is perfect. We are all works in progress, just like my paranormal characters.
