Description:

Murder is a small price to pay…
Once upon a time, Elise Cavanaugh had a plan: get close to Carter Emerson, find out what the cops knew about her crimes and then skip town. But that was before things became complicated by her pesky feelings for the Chief of Police’s son. Now her world is unraveling a little at a time and she needs a new way out.

Murder is a small price to pay…
Carter Emerson has lost more than he can bear. His best friend has been missing for years, his girlfriend is keeping dangerous secrets and his family is fractured. His grades are dropping at an alarming rate, putting his dreams of becoming a lawyer in jeopardy as well. With things spiraling even further out of control, Carter doesn’t know where to turn.

Murder is a small price to pay...
When an unexpected guest appears to mourn the Emerson family’s loss, Elise's schemes become near impossible for her to bluff her way out of. With Carter's attention elsewhere and her brother out for blood, Elise finds herself caught in a war of epic proportions that she never wanted to be a part of. But when her lies surface, will Elise realize in the end, murder really is a small price to pay?

Blood is thicker than water…
Carter Emerson is a pre-law student in a family of cops. His father would not be happy about this—if he knew. With a passion for the justice side of law and order and a penchant for abiding by the rules, Carter is the perfect candidate to work his way up through the ranks of the district attorney’s office. He has a plan, he just doesn’t know how to break the news to his family yet.

Blood is thicker than water…
Elise Cavanaugh is the only daughter of wealthy real estate tycoon, Franklin Cavanaugh. At least, that's what the world believes. In actuality, the Cavanaughs are a family of infamous criminals responsible for a number of unsolved bank robberies. Elise doesn’t want to fall in line and take part in the family business, though—she wants to be free to pursue a degree in journalism and travel the world reporting on important events.

Blood is thicker than water…
A chance meeting on their college campus throws Carter and Elise into each other’s path and much to the displeasure of both their families, it isn’t long before romance blooms between them. When personal tragedy strikes and everything they believe is called into question, will they persevere? Or will they find that blood is thicker than water?

Run for your life…
Sixteen-year-old Claire McBride just witnessed a brutal murder at the hands of someone she knew, someone she thought she could trust. Now she’s alone, afraid and desperate to put as many miles as possible between herself and the killer. Seeing no other options, she flees her hometown of Galena, leaving behind everything and everyone she’s ever held dear.

Run for your life…
Carter Emerson's whole world has come crashing down around him. He woke to the news his best friend, Claire has gone missing without a trace, and there’s nothing he can do about it. Finding out her car was abandoned in the busy city of Chicago, he and his brother can't help but fear the worst… With no solid suspects or leads, it looks like Carter’s worst nightmare could come true, and Claire’s disappearance may turn into a cold case.

Run for your life…
With the killer at her heels, Claire has no choice but to leave Carter in the dark. She can’t risk his safety just because she misses the sound of his voice… But will the run of Claire’s life be worth it in the end? Or will her past catch up with her no matter how hard she tries to escape it?
