Well, I love reading fantasy and young adult books.
Fantasy - Why? Because this is so far from reality... they cab live in same universe with vampires, wolves, dragons, magic, etc. That's why.
Young adult - Not because I wanna be kid forever... I just dont like reading about real life and/or adult problems.

I subscribe to the American Bandstand school of reading...if it has a beat and you can dance to it, I'll probably read it. I like books that tend to veer just to the side (right or left doesn't matter) of normal. I just finished The Rook by Daniel O'Malley and I loved it!

I like to read paranormal romance because it's a combination of my two favorite things.
My favorite genre is horror, but I do read others, too. I have always loved being scared (or trying to) since I was tiny. I just remember ALWAYS loving scary movies, spooky tales etc...as an adult I like the adrenaline spike from a good scary read.

I read Nicholas Sparks because he's my favorite author. I also read Amish fiction because I'm fascinated by the Amish.
I'll read almost anything that I can connect with. Sometimes fantasy novels (I get into one kind of mythical creature and then read like 20 books before moving on), sometimes sci-fi, sometimes historical fiction/adventure, and sometimes nonfiction. I'm dying to grab this book, We Should Hang Out Sometime, by Josh Sundquist - read his Just Don't Fall, and I like the way he tells stories from his life. It's engaging. That's really all I want, to feel engaged and wonder about characters' lives outside of the scope of the books they're in. It's easier to get that way with a series :)
