Have you been Aleatha’d? - Red Sin (Sin #1) by Aleatha Romig

From New York Times bestselling author Aleatha Romig comes a brand-new age-gap, family saga, chance meeting, contemporary romantic-suspense novel in the world of high finance, where success is sweet and revenge is sweeter.
Have you been Aleatha’d?
*Van and Julia's journey begins in the full-length novel, RED SIN, book one of the new SIN SERIES and continues in GREEN ENVY.

Description:

Red is the color of blood, sacrifice, danger, and courage. It’s also associated with heat, passion, and sexuality. When two people meet unexpectedly with an inexplicable attraction that defies common understanding...it can be called RED SIN.

Julia and Van found one another in a shaken snow globe. Stranded in a blizzard, they embraced being two individuals with no last names. The plan was to walk away from each other with no regrets—until that plan changed.

Julia’s life was delivered a staggering blow the day she discovered her fiancé’s infidelity. The night she met a handsome stranger, one who showed her the possibility of a life filled with more than the fulfillment of expectations, she took a chance.

When it comes to business, Donovan Sherman is a wolf—a bloodthirsty carnivore who leaves wounded prey and victims in his wake. He learned from the best, his onetime nemesis and now-mentor, Lennox Demetri, who showed him that opportunities are only ripe for those willing to risk it all, a lesson Donovan took to heart.

With Julia McGrath, Donovan must decide if this beautiful woman who showed him the meaning of red sin will fall victim as his prey or if after experiencing the unbridled passion, there is more that he wants.

AUTHOR's Q&A

1. Can you, for those who don’t know you already, tell something about yourself and how you became an author?

My first book, CONSEQUENCES, released in 2011. In 2008 with two children in college, my husband lost his job. He went to work nights at a local box store for insurance. I was a dental hygienist working 6 days a week. Our youngest son was home, but I went from an active house of five plus friends in and out, to a very quiet house where our youngest was in bed at eight o’clock. One night, I decided to write a story.

The story (Titled CLAIRE’S STORY on the first draft) was about a woman who had been abducted. I would work all day, thinking about what happened next, and then I’d write at night when my house was quiet. I never dreamed that I’d publish that story or that it would one day be on over a million e-readers. I never dreamed that the series would make me a New York Time’s bestseller. I wanted what readers want, an escape.

My daughter said I wrote to control Claire’s world, because my world was out of control.

2. What are some of my pet peeves?

My number one pet peeve is when things jump on my screen, be it my phone or computer. I want to click one thing and then I click something else! Ugg. It drives me nuts. I’m also not a fan of shoes or pants….lol. Shorts and sandals is the way to go.

3. What do I do to relax and unwind?

Right now, it’s post season baseball, and our family are huge Boston Red Sox fans. (We live in Indiana, but it’s a long story). So to relax, I pour a glass of red wine and watch baseball. Any other time of the year, relaxing is when our family comes home. My husband and I have been married for 35 years and we love being with our children, in-law children, and grandchildren.

Give me a pool or a beach and I’m in heaven.

4. What literary pilgrimages have I gone on?

Funny you should ask. My new series, The Sin Series, is set in northern Wisconsin. So this past summer, my husband and I drove up to Ashland. I wanted to get a feel for the people, the area, and all that northern Wisconsin had to offer.

It is stunningly beautiful.

While we were there in July, my story starts in December. I had to imagine everything covered in a layer of snow.

I also write a lot of my books in Chicago. I love that city. I grew up in northern Indiana and we would often go to Chicago for field trips –to the museums and to shop –we’d take the SouthShore. Our oldest son and his significant other lived outside of Chicago for 7 years and we visited often.

We’ve also visited other settings of my books. With over 45 titles… there are many!
