About the author:
Teresa (McPeek) Harrison grew up in Decatur, Illinois. After graduating from Eureka College in Eureka, IL, with a BA in Speech and Theatre, she moved to Granby, Massachusetts where she married and started a family and was actively involved with the local community theatres for several years.

When her son was young, she helped start a Community Playground project. Over the years, she was a Girl Scout leader and a den mother for her son’s cub scout troop. Teresa also helped start a new community theater in Granby. She directed musicals for four years and produced four additional musicals for the eight years she was involved.

After 13 years as an Assessor in Granby, she knew she needed to do something different. She went to work at Earth Spirits in Sturbridge, MA. She wrote a monthly newsletter, worked in the shop and helped develop their online presence. As sometimes happens, after many years, she and her son’s father divorced.

Teresa was brought up Catholic in a time and place that encouraged individual thinking (the 60’s). She enjoyed the prayers, rituals and singing in the choir. However, because of her Catholic education, she knew there was more to discover.

Eventually, she became interested in all faiths and how they played out in an individual’s life. She spoke with others and read extensively about the 5 main religions and their offshoots and various other spiritual paths. Her path led her to go inside and find her personal truth, beginning a journey of nearly 40 years.

She is a Reiki Master, a BreathWork Facilitator, an herbalist and a teacher. She has done an extensive study of Reincarnation, Universal Laws, Aromatherapy, Yoga, Meditation and many other topics of interest.

In 2000, while on a spiritual journey to Sedona, AZ, she met her husband, Glenn. They realized they had something special, but did not know how this new relationship would survive. After all, they lived on opposite edges of North America.

They did figure it out and a two-year cross-continent romance began. When her son left for college and she finished her Master’s in Public Administration, Teresa joined Glenn in Southern California. Her son and daughter-in-law, who live in the Greater Boston area, have given them two beautiful grandchildren.

They both love to travel, and on a cross-country trip in 2003, they made a stop in Sedona for an overnight on their way to Santa Fe, NM. They decided to look at some real estate while there and never made it to New Mexico. They now live in the beautiful Red Rock country of Sedona, AZ, sharing the land with a herd of javelina, three large mule deer bucks, three ravens (more or less), various coyotes several quail families, packrats and assorted lizards.

Teresa has been reading and telling stories her whole life, and now she is writing them down.
