Description:

A Taste of Revenge narrates the enthralling story of a successful businesswoman, twenty-nine-year-old Maria Mercedes Sofia Castrillón, and her journey to avenge what she has lost. She is the Chief Executive Officer of MG Grand Business & Co., a company that she founded ten years ago, together with her friend, Ana Elisa Gaston.

Lucio Nieves is her lover of more than four years. He is the heir of G&N Company, being the Chairman’s son. An acquisition is made between the two companies, entailing that MG Grand is to make an exclusive anti-virus software for G&N. A hundred computers are tested; however, days after the deal, a report came that G&N wants to terminate the contract.

Ana accuses Sofia as being the one in charge of the fiasco, as well as the one who placed the malware into the PCs in order to ruin the reputation of the company, and she brings forth a flash drive as evidence to prove that Sofia indeed is the mastermind. Sofia defends herself, but after several arguments, Ana pushes persistently and says to Sofia that she had never really been her friend, right at that moment the bond they had built for years vanished in an instant. Board Chairman, Michael Perez, suggests that the board of directors make the decision on whether Sofia should remain in her position as MG Grand’s CEO. The majority of the committee then decided to remove Sofia from her position and reduce her to only receiving dividends as a stakeholder of the company. Ana’s conniving act becomes clear to Sofia and realize that this had been her plan all along, and so, Sofia’s journey of revenge starts here.

GUEST POST
10 things Reader’s would be surprised to know about Mercy Jane

1) I am actually a homeschooled 4th year College Student. I will graduate this October but will step onto the stage on March 2019. By then, that would mark the 9th year of me being a homeschooled student.

2) I have seven illnesses and ten medications a day, but I am very much delighted that I look physically fit. Most people wouldn’t notice unless I tell them.

3) I am a marketer. Despite being a published author, my passion for business never wavered since I was 9 years old.

4) I became a stock market trader on the day of my 18th birthday which was a very memorable day for me. In the Philippines, I have to be in the legal age before I can obtain Tax Identification Number (TIN) so I waited for more than a year.

5) I started trading foreign exchange at 19. Due to market fluctuations, I wanted to venture out to test my abilities in trading currencies. Forex is highly volatile compared to stocks for margins are low and leverage is high. I love challenging myself to know my capabilities.

6) I write poetry and short stories. If I’m not writing a novel, I would be in my room composing poems or short stories.

7) I do cook dishes and bake cakes. Whenever I feel tired or wanted to get away from stress. You’d find me in the kitchen, trying new recipes.

8) It is a daily routine of mine to read business news to stay updated in the world market.

9) I once dreamt of becoming a singer during my childhood days. Well I do sing but not a good singer.

10) I have a business plan prepared for my future company. I have a great vision that I will truly be a Chief Executive Officer. Though that would take time before I achieve that goal since I will first become a successful author and establish a reputation of my own distinctiveness.
