Noble Magic: Book Four of the Chronicles of Eledon by Joni Parker

"A crisp, clean, straight-forward story; a rich, strong plot; a mind-blowing concept on the lines of parallel worlds; a head-strong protagonist – gave me one of the most fascinating read which I enjoyed thoroughly.[...] The story-line was very eventful. Events occurring in the book were quite compelling. In the whole book, there were series of continuous events." - about book #1  Preeti, Goodreads

GUEST POST
A Ghost Story

Have you ever seen a ghost? I have…or at least, I think it was a ghost. Whatever it was, it was in front of me and it looked real. I was about nine years old when it happened and my family and I had moved to Japan. My dad wanted to be a professional golfer but he wasn’t allowed to join the PGA in the States because he wasn’t white. Of course, they changed the rules shortly after we left. Anyway, he joined the Japanese branch of the PGA and moved us there to do it. I was in third grade at the time and was taken out of school for this trip. I thought we were only going to be there for six months, but we ended up staying longer. But I digress.

One morning, I was standing at the bus stop with my mom and I wandered around, not able to stand still. On top of a small mound not far from me stood a short Japanese man wearing a heavy brown overcoat (it was winter) and a brown fedora hat pulled low over his face. He was an older man, clean shaven with high cheekbones. I’d never seen him before and I didn’t know where he came from—the bus stop had been empty when we came up. I ran over to my mother and put my arms around her.

“Mom, there’s a weird man over there.” I whispered to her; I was pretty sure he didn’t understand English. We were in Japan.

“Who? There’s no one there,” my mom said.

I turned around and to my surprise, the man was gone. “I saw a man there just a minute ago. I know he was there.” I ran over to the mound, but there was no evidence anyone was there or had been there.

A few minutes later, the bus came and we climbed on. I sat by the window and looked at the empty bus stop. Did I just imagine the man or was he a ghost? I don’t know. I’ll never know for sure. Maybe I should’ve touched him or something to make sure, but I didn’t think of it at the time. My mom never asked me about it or mentioned it again, but I couldn’t ignore it. I saw something that day.

That’s my ghost story. Do you have one?

  1. Thanks for hosting my book! This story about a ghost was real, by the way. I haven't encountered any more ghosts since then, but one was enough. It still bothers me.
