The Silent Violent Few: Noir' by Grayer Vaughan

16+ Alabama Crowne thought she had finally secured her freedom when the life she was destined to live came to a halt. Despite everything she left behind, there was one constant she would never be rid of as death claimed who she was in order to become who she was meant to be all along: Cash Zachary Calloway.

Description:

"How will he still want me once he finds out what I've done?"

Alabama Crowne thought she had finally secured her freedom when the life she was destined to live came to a halt. Despite everything she left behind, there was one constant she would never be rid of as death claimed who she was in order to become who she was meant to be all along: Cash Zachary Calloway.

Leaving one life to create another didn't seem so bad until Finn Haines, the man she thought she knew, begins to become unhinged when secrets, lies and betrayal tempt them both into an epic end game of "name that Submissive".

Thinking she chose the right Calloway, Alabama takes a chance to build a life worth living as she is set to give birth to the next Calloway heir until facts about Finn's past lead her down a dangerous path filled with devious deviants of epic proportions.

Unsure of who the father of her unborn child is, Alabama begins to struggle with her sanity, keeping her pregnancy hidden while she soon realizes that the only way out of the mess she created might be to return to the life she left behind as visions of her dead best friend Frankie lead her down a dangerous path of becoming the one thing she never thought she would: Mrs. Calloway.

Will the darkness she created claim the life she must live to be free or will her static inspiration become the dominant Noir she will need to save her from the violent death Goddess has planned?

EXCERPT

I’ve never wanted to obtain someone into Submission more than the day I saw Alabama Crowne slip through my fingers. Watching her escape in a helicopter, my dark deep ceded Master tendencies churned in the pit of my stomach. I had the perfect Submissive. She was the Unicorn feeding on the divided terrain of tortured possibilities. All I had to do was ensure that Goddess showed herself every now and again to push Alabama closer to me.

It was almost fool proof.

Alabama was so lost in her mind while she was at our Nantucket home that she didn’t even realize I had Goddess tying me up from time to time in the dungeon located in the basement of our home.

It was all me.

I hid my true persona behind an exterior she could never suspect.

Studying her every move from afar, I learned what it would take to capture a heart like hers. Her innocence made it easy for me to love her.

She was an injured dove who was weakened by a stray bullet, placing her into a gilded cage to watch her pain in awe.

I played my strengths to her willingness to be devoured by a mask of true love just to make sure Cash never regained her focus.

I won her fair and square.

She was my most important prize.

Cash couldn’t bring himself to tame her, just as he couldn’t make good on the score we had to settle. I wanted her since the day I picked up Dandelion for Cash. Alabama stepped out of her building calling to her innocent roommate as a breeze blew her scent my way.

Breathing her in, I knew my life would never be the same without her in my life.

“You owe me. Don’t forget that. Make it happen,” I ordered Cash.

“I know what I said, but I can’t. I love her completely, Niko. I will break a new Submissive for you,” he replied, praying I’d accept his offer.

We all experience a lust that mimics the love he possessed for her. It happens every single time a Submissive braces and sustains the hits we give to please us. That is how they gain our favor.

What Cash has with Alabama is totally different.

He was addicted to her. She was the hypnotic intoxication he simply could not live without. Cash made her his beacon.

She was present in every decision he would make for years to come.

Her light was in every crevice of his darkened soul.

I knew it. I just didn’t care; just as he didn’t when I took each lash for him the night my innocence was stripped from every inch of my virgin skin. He lacked the ambition it took to become half of the Master I was at 17.

He had never truly loved anyone before. Alabama was the first experience he had with love.

Her love only made him weak.

My love for her only made me invincible.

“No. It is her or I will break you. You know better than to cross me. Don’t make me turn her into Simone. I doubt your Soul could handle another staged suicide.

Submissive Simone was his Bowery Sweetheart. We were each made to tame a Submissive before we could graduate from Bowery. It was the final Rite of Passage, and I was hell bent on making sure Cash would fail. He took the romantic route and wooed Simone into Submission with sweet calls of victory, handwritten letters, and intimacy.

All it took to steal her from him was making her body quiver under my heated touch. A few devotional sayings, poems of the Romantic Era to capture her mind and three weeks of ignoring her every whim, Simone’s heart was served to me on a Calloway platter.

The second Cash tried for her heart once more, Simone let him down easy by telling him to meet her in the music theatre knowing we’d be there, harmonizing the breaks off her inner voice. The sleazy minx in her knew I’d love seeing the devious smirk on her face when her eyes connected with Cash’s as I continued to pound her back into the wall she leaned against.

Unfortunately for Simone, once Cash was done with her-so was I.

I didn’t want her once the sting Cash received from the situation was gone.

Where was the fun in that?

She was so weak without me to believe in her. She lasted a total of 5 weeks before she decided to die with a Russian smile in Cash’s bed.

Fond memories to add to a treacherous list of mess Cash owes me for cleaning. There is nothing more soothing in this life than knowing I hold the upper hand over Senior’s favorite.

It wasn’t until Alabama came along that I knew I wanted something for myself, not just to kill Cash slowly.

Unwilling to oblige, he made every effort to keep Alabama hidden away from me as if that could stop me. I had Goddess so wrapped around my capable fingers, she would bring me Alabama’s head on a studded pike if I asked for it just to receive her sweetened sours.

Then again, what kind of Switch would I be if I couldn’t make her beg for my love?

Striking the helipad, I knew it was time to show Alabama who she was really tied to. Running back to our home, I made my way into the garage. Alabama was going to be back with me whether she wanted to or not. I was going to have my family together or she was going to permanently sing like the rest of my requiem Dolls.

Grabbing a sledgehammer, I quickly ran back to the playroom and pulled the pillory stock bed out of place as I prepared to break into the hidden black lacquered safe I secured in the wall before I brought Alabama home.

It was one thing to leave me. It was another matter entirely to leave me for a weaker man and take my children along with her.

I was the man Cash could never be; the man she needed him to become.

He will always fail in comparison.

She will be mine once again, and she will submit herself willingly.

Fueling every angry thought I had in that moment, I began swinging the sledgehammer like every hit was getting me closer to Alabama.

Alabama will fall into line.

She just needed to understand my needs. Cash attempted to ease her into the lifestyle as if a slow moving blur would make her more accepting.

My plan was to awaken her to every possibility.

I just didn’t get the chance to do so.

Thinking of the things we could experience together in this room, I pictured Alabama becoming more and more accepting when she learned how to properly soothe my hunger.

“Mr. Haines,” Fredrick, my security second in command, calls while standing in the doorway.

Speak,” I growl between blows.

Pieces of concrete spread vastly over the area I stood in, jumping with each strike of the sledgehammer.

“Sonja,” Fredrick adds, holding the phone out to me. “She made contact via text.”

“Finally!” I exclaim, dropping the sledgehammer as a loud series of clicks sound.

The framed border around the make-shift excavation sight I worked on began to release small blasts until the slab was completely independent from the safe beneath. With a sounding pop, the safe opened presenting its priceless emergency contents to aid my journey.

The first thing every Submissive is taught once they reach the final stage of change between Submissive and Master is that a skillful Master will always have a golden parachute which includes: untraceable burner phones that are void of MEID ram numbers that run off the navigation satellites that are positioned in orbit above Europe, a blacklist sound board card that will lead to a list of specialized fixers like Dr. Skirt, and a list of numerous safe houses that are dark to keep one hidden from public view.

All one had to do was dial the underground BDSM hotline and you were catered to considering you maintained the correct reputation.

The golden parachute acted as a skeleton key to a wanted Master’s true freedom. Each parachute was different, and mine were flawless.

The first one I’ve ever used was put in place to afford Alabama a life she could easily navigate. She was as much apart of this lifestyle as I was.

Her only problem was that she never realized she was.

Cash could have easily found her.

I wanted him to see that she belonged with me.

He was just too soft hearted to check the BDSM underground soft boards. I made sure Goddess built her reputation up accordingly so that when she was ready to transition, I would have a harem I felt she could easily fit into and lead.

My struggle was that I could only lead Alabama to the truth. I couldn’t make her realize and embrace it.

After making the decision to retire, she continued the family tradition in joining the Armed forces once they became of age. Upon discussing an opportunity to fight in the All-Army karate team, Vaughan decided to join the Army to follow in her father’s footsteps. serving 6 years in service, Vaughan returned home to Texas where she entered college to study as an artist. In an effort to keep a promise she made to her grandfather, Daniel, to write about her extraordinary life, she penned "The Vaughan Chronicles", basing the story off her life experiences.

“There is always an opportunity to continue to grow mentally, spiritually, and physically. They may have tried to push me back, but they will never succeed. I can always get better. Never give up.” ~Grayer Vaughan.

According to Grayer, she never intended to become an author. “It happened by answering a “what if” question, and a promise. I was blessed enough to be with my grandfather, Daniel in his last hour here on Earth. He asked what I would do in the next ten years as he wouldn’t be around to experience it with me. I said, “I have no idea, Grampy…I guess I will sell my art- have a show or write a book? I have no idea!” He replied, “you should do it. I believe in you. Promise me you will do whatever it takes to get it out there.”

With the promise made, he passed away a few seconds later. It took 6 months for Grayer to honor that promise, and with each book produced, she continues to keep her accord intact.
