Valentine’s Day Gift Hop Giveaway International

Valentine's Day is so close! Even if traditionally you do not celebrate it (in Romania we have a similar celebration: Dragobetele), its significance deserves to be shared. But what is the real meaning of the Valentine's Day?

Wikipedia says: "The day was first associated with romantic love in the circle of Geoffrey Chaucer in the High Middle Ages, when the tradition of courtly love flourished. In 18th-century England, it evolved into an occasion in which lovers expressed their love for each other by presenting flowers, offering confectionery, and sending greeting cards (known as "valentines"). Valentine's Day symbols that are used today include the heart-shaped outline, doves, and the figure of the winged Cupid. Since the 19th century, handwritten valentines have given way to mass-produced greeting cards"

The questions are:
What do you know about Valentine's Day? What do you believe is the best way to celebrate love or to spend Valentine's Day?

  10. I don't know... Maybe just share a romantic dinner? Valentine's Day is not really a thing in Argentina, although some couples use it as a excuse to spend time together, so I guess it's nice.

  11. If you love someone, you should definitely be showing them all of the time! But I think Valentine's day is a special chance to just really give special attention to the person you love, it's just meant to be a special day ☺

  12. I know Valentine's Day is a day people in love expect flowers, chocolate, jewelry & an amazing evening at a restaurant. Personally I think if you love someone you should show them everyday, not one day of the year.

  13. I belive that Valentine's Day should be spent with those that we love (friends, family, etc.) and also be kinder.

  14. I thought Valentine's Day came from a priest named San Valentín, who used to help couples get married when it was prohibited. A great way to celebrate the day would be sharing with the people you love, it can be your lover, friends or family :)

  16. I do know the holiday is named after a saint. I no longer remember all the details, though I once knew them. I think the day should be one that couples take to show each other the love they have for one another in ways they may not take time to do the rest of the year.

  17. i think the best way to celebrate love is not to do it only once per year but showing some ten, derness each day
( now i think spending it with his loved one is teh best way, no need of additional things, presenece is all what is needed)
