ReplyDeleteI have to have a HEA. If there's no happily ever after, what's the point? No HEA makes it a tragedy.

I like my romance books to be full of love that's hard to get. Then in the end it all works out and love wins ♡ Thank you
ReplyDeleteI like love at first sight kind of romance.
ReplyDeleteAnything but insta love. I love when characters fall for each other while going through things together, whether it be adventures or anything else, but seeing them getting closer to each other as they work together as a team.
ReplyDelete@Lysa Joseph I love that too in een story!
ReplyDeleteLara M i like that too !
ReplyDeleteJo-Anne Boyko - I want my female characters to be strong too! I can't stand weak, silly women!
ReplyDeleteI like really strong characters and a lot of developments in the plot :)

ReplyDeleteIn a romance I like strong characters, with some funny lines in it. Not all mush talk.

ReplyDelete@Stacey Smith Paranormal is one of my favoties too.
ReplyDeleteJeanna Massman - Yes! Humorous banter is the best. I love it when the couple starts out teasing and insulting each other and moves on to romance!
ReplyDeleteI want a believable relationship (not that they fell in love instantly) and one with strong female characters that do not lose their power/sense of self when they are in a relationship.

ReplyDeleteSheena-kay Graham - I hate love triangles too! I totally agree that the worst is when abuse/stalking is presented as love. Drives me crazy!
ReplyDeleteI need some action. Not buildings blowing up, but there needs to be a problem and things not go 100% smoothly. I hate romances where the characters just fall in love and it's smooth sailing. BORING!
ReplyDelete@Stacy- I want a believable relationship (not that they fell in love instantly) and one with strong female characters that do not lose their power/sense of self when they are in a relationship.
ReplyDeleteI'm like you. I can't stand when the female character gets so wrapped up in a relationship they forget that they're an individual and have likes and needs, ect. that have nothing to do with their love interest.
I want to feel the connection :)
ReplyDeleteThere must be chemistry/connection, and mutual respect between the lead characters and for the readers reasons for us to care that they stay together.
ReplyDelete@ Sheena-kay Graham. I also find that what passes for "acceptable" alpha male behavior in some books would be considered abusive and criminal in the real world.

ReplyDeleteI want passion and great characters.
