EXCERPT

“Shh,” Surpy hissed. “They’ll hear you.”

I looked at Johnathan and scrunched my eyebrows, wondering

who, exactly, Surpy was afraid would hear us. I whipped my head

around at a slurping sound to our left—my star-bright followed the

movement, staying directly in front of me. A sickening pop followed

the slurping, sucking noise. Blue light illuminated a giant blob. A

slimy, green booger—the size of a Great Dane. “Surpy, what kind of

gigantic creature’s nose did you lead us into?” I backed away from

the disgusting thing as it inched toward me.

Surpy looked at me and crooked his head to the side, confused.

“No nose, Paige.” His eyes widened when he saw the crawling

misshaped lump of goop. “Run! Don’t lets it touch you! Toxic!”

About the author:
Holli Anderson has a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing--which has nothing to do with writing, except maybe by adding some pretty descriptive injury and vomit scenes to her books. She discovered her joy of writing during a very trying period in her life when escaping into make-believe saved her. She enjoys reading any book she gets her hands on, but has a particular love for anything fantasy.

Along with her husband, Steve, and their four sons, she lives in Grantsville, Utah--the same small town in which she grew up.
